Meet: King Wel

King Wel was born and raised in Broward County, Florida, where the originality in his music emanates from. King wel is an up-and-coming, versatile, as well as a well-rounded hip-hop artist. Due to his parents and sister having a high passion for music, Wel was surrounded by music throughout his childhood and shared that love for music with his family. His hometown and family guided King Wel to have a passion for music and ultimately pursue artistry as a career. King Wel’s songwriting and lyrics remain original and he is able to deliver his music with his own unique sound. Ever since he found out about music, he has advanced on working on his verses, sound, and delivery. Whatever the beat may be, Wel is highly skilled at generating flow in his music. Lil Wayne is one of his main sources of inspiration, airing his wordplay and metaphors.

In his own music, he has developed drastically in writing his own lyrics through his word play. His top single is called I get buckets and he dropped it for a NBA 2K contest back in 2019. The single has a hype type of feel to it and has to do with the game of basketball. In addition to music, the game of basketball has taught King Wel many life lessons. Ever since the first he discovered music, he became so enticed into the fundamentals of music and array of beats that can be utilized. In June of this year, he released a single. He just recently dropped a single “Blue Strips” release on all platforms June 9th of this year. In this song he delivers his stories and past experiences throughout his lyrical punches. He plans on dropping a music video in the upcoming months for the single as well, followed by releasing a mixtape and going on tour.
